| Someone has written that he always thought that it is a far better strategy to gun-proof your child rather than to child-proof your gun. In actuality, the smartest thing is to do both. It is vitally important to teach your child proper gun handling techniques, but it is that much more important to remove the object of temptation from the child.
Statistically, sometime in the next 2 days, somewhere in the U.S. a child under age 19 will die as a direct result of the mishandling of a loaded firearm. That is both tragic and unnecessary. A mom and dad, brother or sister, grandma and grandpa will be burying their son, their brother or sister, or their grandchild. You have to ask yourself---WHY?
If you are hiding a loaded firearm at this very time somewhere in your house, you are begging for a potential tragedy!
RIGHT NOW---THIS VERY INSTANT---ORDER A GUN LOCK, MINIVAULT or SAFE! Merely hiding your firearm is both unsafe and offers nothing but a false sense of security.
